Carmi Report and Booking Split
A Carmi arrest can produce related files without merging them. Carmi Police keeps the incident and arrest narrative created by its officers. White County Sheriff keeps the booking, jail photograph, custody status, charges received, and bond data. Name searches can return similar people, so compare the case number, filing date, case type, and party details before treating a result as relevant. Basic public case information is free, while premium or document functions may require payment.
Judici also offers Plea & Pay for eligible cases, but it is not a complete criminal-history repository. A case may lag behind a recent booking, and police reports do not appear there. The clerk remains the source for certified copies, difficult searches, and clarification of docket entries.
How Carmi Records Reach the County
Carmi officers create the first local report. If an arrest is reportable and fingerprinted, data may go to the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification.
